Hamel is one of our favorite places. If you like your coffee tasting like coffee even if it’s specialty drink, then this is definitely the place. The location is great, too because you can walk down Walnut St for antiques or Cherry St for our boutiques! My go-to drinks are The Mal and Blackberry Jam.

Sept 2025 update! The new location is GORGEOUS! Roomy! With lots of seating and tables. I recommend talking to Leona about her new flavors. The passion behind her ideas drives the tasty creations. Come in for a beverage, leave feeling a part of the community. I added new photos to the review so you can see how charming! (Also, there are plugs EVERYWHERE, for laptops and cellphones) old location review ——>(((What a perfectly hidden gem! The beverage options have cute names. The flavor hits the spot. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. In the search for a perfect cup of hot bean juice, this place comes pretty close. Now let’s talk about the atmosphere. When you walk in, you actually walk out, it’s as if you are transported to another city. The lighting, plants, furniture, and overall aesthetic scream Portland Oregon. I highly recommend this for moms who want to escape and treat themselves to a silent sweet moment of peace.)))

I discovered Hamel when it opened and have been nothing but impressed every time! There are tons of speciality lattes that are all so good- I can never pick! She creates seasonal menus that you can tell she spent a long creating. My favorite drink is the golden velvet- it’s a must!!!! 10/10 recommend if your in the mood for a fabulous latte!

The owner is truly one of the most genuine, hardworking, and kind-hearted people I have ever met. What started as a simple stop for coffee has turned into a friendship that feels like family. My husband and I went on a day date in Jesup and went in to Hamel Coffee Co. We were completely obsessed with the cozy and welcoming vibe!! The brown sugar shaken espresso was superb! Our barista was super sweet. We sat outside and enjoyed the downtown ☕️

I loved the ambience. Other coffee shops should take notes. The dim lighting and calm atmosphere were top tier. They have kids books if you visit with your children. It can also be a coffee date spot. The workers were super nice. The Samoa latte tasted like a Samoa cookie. Can't wait to go to a sip and paint shop.

Friendly and cozy atmosphere with a great selection of drinks — from classic coffee options to refreshers. The bakery bites are always a plus, especially the chicken salad croissants (my personal favorite). I also love that they support other local small businesses by featuring treats from guest vendors in the area. It’s become one of my favorite spots to relax or even work remotely for a bit. Definitely a wonderful addition to downtown Jesup! ☕🤎

I absolutely love Hamel Coffee Co.! Every drink I’ve tried has been amazing, and you can truly tell Ms. Leona cares about quality and customer experience. The apples with caramel are so delicious and the perfect treat, the chicken salad is fresh and flavorful & the yogurt parfait is one of my favorites. Such a cozy atmosphere with friendly service every time I visit (which is weekly as a local). Definitely one of my favorite spots in Jesup! ☕️🍎✨
